goal: doing some exercises for my back every day

No problems today, I did them right after getting up. (Although I got up late!)
I feel like adding another goal right now but that would be wrong right?

Goal: sleep 8 hours.
Result: slept 7. I was about to slip below 7 hours knowingly, but I reset my alarm last night to get up a half hour later so I would at least get 7. Where does the time go in the evening?
Bonus: read The Artist's Way with my morning tea.

#1 is complete.

For #2, we are having much-needed rain. Today, I will do a little outdoors (between showers) that doesn't involve the wet lawn. I will also perform some inside-work around my computer setup and office, which becomes the guest room for our oldest son when he comes to visit for a week starting tomorrow.

PS: I had the wrong reminder date for my haircut. It is next Wednesday.

I have managed it 2x this week so far. Last week was a write-off because it was too hot and I was not feeling well. What I really need is better motivation. If I'm getting up to do a bunch of things I really don't want to do I am going to resist it. If I am getting up to do something I love doing it will be easier...

I forgot to check in on Tuesday, so this is a report for two days. :)

Goal: daily exercise, plus no sweets (from June Challenge)

Report: On Tuesday, I did a strength workout -- a little more intense than the first week, adding Hindu squats and Hindu pushups. Body's a bit sore from the workout. :)

On Wednesday, I did a 40-minute run, with some hills and a little bit of speed at the end. The first week, I only ran short and slow, but I've been slowly lengthening the distance and intensity. Still not too long or intense, but I'm happy with my gradual progress. Don't want to overdo it!

No sweets on either day.

Done my 10 minutes decluttering so that's 4 for 7

This is really helping me keep doing these things. To know I have to post how it's going is a great incentive.

Goal: exercise at least 30 minutes every day

Today I rode the bike for half an hour. I'm going to try to swim both tomorrow and Friday, since I've only managed two swim days instead of the intended three over the first two weeks of July.

Goal : Play Guitar Daily

Hello fellow ZHrs 8)

Started off by figuring out the intro to "You wear it well" by Rod Stewart. I was amazed at how quickly I figured it out.
Then I went through the chords for the song a few times. Learned a new chord : D/F#. yes it is as painful as it sounds :D
Went back to my acoustic guitar project at the end and worked on exercise two, which involves alternating between single notes and a repetitive pattern. Also tried playing the final exercise which is the song, including all the components. It actually will be easier than I though because I spent so much time learning the melody.

Principles applied:
Figuring out a melody by ear
Learning new chords
Arpeggiating
Melody as the driver

17 for 18 Yipee.

Don't give up!

Goal: lose 1#/wk through max of 1600 calories a day.
Result: today was a complete bust, at a total of 2698 calories (3358 food less 660 exercise). Feeling irritated at work and then kind of blue in the evening and completely medicated with food. But I'm still here!

Somebody give me a kick in the butt!

I've haven't been checking in the past few days because I've been at a cottage on a lake. :) I missed walking two days while I was away. The roads weren't very pedestrian friendly at the cottage, but the lake was. A couple of the days I went kayaking instead of walking. I miss the lake...

#2 is complete. I cut out a few obvious things but the yard was too wet for anything else. I went to the market and I did rainy-day work on my computer setup (I am getting all of the wires off of the floor so I can keep it clean back there). Oddly, I feel like I am cheating when I do anything but yard work, even though this is all within scope for Getting out and for rainy day indoor projects.

I am {16 for 18 in July}.

Goal: Establish evening routine. Sub-goals: Read, make lunch for the following day and clear desk. I managed to get all three sub-goals completed. I'm hoping for a good week after a poor start. :)
