Goal: Bike to work (and back)
Log entry: I almost made it, but I was a few minutes too late - I had a meeting at 9 am and would not have made it on time by bike. But I had really looked forward to biking. So, I'm hoping for tomorrow. 6-for-17 (35%)

Watchlist: Get up early (5:15 am)
Log entry: The baby slept through the night for the second time in a row. Incredible what a good night's sleep can do for your fitness and mood... ;) . I did get up a little later (before 7:00 am) than planned (6:30 am), but it was more than half an hour earlier than yesterday. 33-for-54 (61%)

Comments: I am finally going in the right direction again.

I've missed the last couple of days in terms of checking in, but I've been sticking with my exercise.

Goal: Daily exercise.

Report: On Tuesday, I did a short run (only 2 miles) but I did it at a much higher intensity than I'd been running all month. Felt great.

On Wednesday, I did a pretty good strength workout. Today I did a longer run that lasted almost an hour!

#1 is complete.

It was foggy earlier; it's overcast now. Perfect for more yard work once it dries out a little. I also get to walk to the public library, later, and pick up two science fiction books that are on hold for me.

Read books at least 1/2 an hour a day: 26/26

When I'm finished with my term paper (5 more days to go, yippie!), I would love to return to my old exercise routine from Juny...too bad I'm injured since the last day of my vacation, it doesn't get better. I have to find an alternative and solution for this.

Goal 1 - to do morning routine
Goal 2 - 10 minutes decluttering
Goal 3 - 10 minutes housework

I've done my morning routine and I did it yesterday so that's 13 for 15
I did this yesterday but not today so that's 9 for 15
I've done 10 minutes housework yesterday and an hour today so that's 12 for 15

I'm not to worried that I haven't done the decluttering today as I've pulled out the cooker and clean behind, under and the sides of the cooker. It looks absolutely brilliant now so I know I spent the time better today doing that.

GOAL: Chapter (or equivalent) of German study a day.

I'm not doing so well with this particular goal. I'm having a hard time feeling bad, however, as I did get the final draft of my dissertation finished. I then rewarded myself by reading Harry Potter (Book 7). :-)

Today I hunkered down with dependent clauses and separable-prefix verbs. I stopped right before the section on dative case. Think I'll try and get that done before bed.

Goal 1: sleep 8.
Result: slept 7.25.
Also: meditated, wrote morning pages, read The Artist's Way. This morning routine is really making a difference in my life, I can't believe it.

Goal 2: lost 1#/wk through max of 1600 cal/day.
Result: 2090 cal (2415 total - 325 exercise). Way better than yesterday.

rebcamuse-final draft of your dissertation? Don't worry about this little challenge - you should celebrate!

Goal: No forums or RSS reading from work computer.

Ok, did fine. Was mildly tempted when I got all mad at my friend and was tempted to let the emotional spike get me off track, but somehow I didn't.

#2 is complete. I have done along the fence all along the southside of the house, now I need to do along the foundation of the house. The walk to the library and Blockbuster was nice too. I hopped a bus for the way back so I could get into the yard while there was good light.

Worked on Chord Melody and reading tabs intelligently
Finished up by creating my own arrangement for the song "Black Honey" by the incomparable Grahm Parker 8)
It sounds great!
Principles applied :
Reading tab, get the melody down, alternating between rhythm and melody, arrangement writing, playing and arranging by ear

Goal: exercise at least 30 minutes every day

I spent today catching up with a flood of routine work that had piled up while I was distracted by some special projects (now finished - yay!), so I didn't get to my exercise until 8:30. Once again, my husband cooked dinner while I rode the exercise bike. 26 for 26.
