Goal: Get up monday through friday at 5:00.

Progress: Check. I'm in Colorado now and went out for a nice run at 6500 feet above sea level, which felt great -- the air was so crisp.

Tomorrow's the last day of my July challenge, and I think it was a great success. It was difficult to get comfortable getting out of bed at 5:00, but now it's easy and I love it. Shouldn't be any problem continuing this goal into next month. Now it's time to start thinking about the August challenge...

My goal is to get to bed by 1 a.m. and up by 9 a.m. and to continue exercising daily. Today I wasn't able to get to bed until very late but I was up by 8 a.m., which is no doubt why I'm feeling so tired. But I did get out for a walk so the exercising goal is near perfect for July and that's something I don't think I would have accomplished without these challenges.

#1 is complete.

#2 is complete. I met my sister at the mall and we went to some of the same places. She also brought me a "black light" that I hope to use in tracking down some problems left by one of my cats.

I am {27 for 30 in July}.

I missed walking yesterday, but I did my stretches. However, today I did both.

Goal: Lose 1#/wk though calorie max of 1700/day.
Result: 1970 total calories (2650 food less 680 exercise).

Official weigh-in today: weight is 1.5 pounds down from the last weigh-in 10 days ago (I changed my weigh-in day.) I'm not sure that I lost weight this week so much as I caught the downside of the variation over the course of the week. Oh well, I'll take it. That's one of the reasons I changed my weigh-in day, because catching the high side of the weight was very discouraging. So, I'm finishing the month down 5.5 pounds since I started in late May--28% of my total goal of losing 20 pounds. It's slow going, but at least I'm not gaining.

Goal: Bike to work (and back)
Log entry: Yeah! I did it. Had a wonderful ride, even though it was cold in the morning. I took it easy (better start slow than overdo it). Even the ride back home was nice, but exhausting. 7-for-19 (37%)

Watchlist: Get up early (5:15 am)
Log entry: Got up at 6:30, but I'm geeting there slowly. 33-for-58 (57%)
