I'm checking in for Saturday.

Goal: Wake up at 5:00
Done. I'm 18-18 in August, this turns out to be quite an easy challenge so far, despite what I thought before.

#2 Get out: I will be in a photography seminar all day.

#3 Organize
: Maintain 0 inbox and feed-reading backlog. Reduce Action and Events folders. [More GTD repaving will wait until 08-18]

Did my exercise yesterday, and wrote a whole new chapter for the story I'm editing right now. That did keep me up a little late, so I got up a little late this morning, but I'm only about a half hour behind schedule.

Goals today
Editing, all morning and afternoon. If I could get this story finished up this weekend I'd be very happy.
Laundry.
Exercise.
Bed between 23:30 and midnight.

Still feeling strong. Love having this check-in.

Was inspired by the site to take steps to creating a simpler living space. Got rid of 3 pieces of furniture yesterday... feeling much "lighter"

Goal: to do something to advance my career.
Log: Well, I've been bad about checking in this week, but that's largely because I've been frantically preparing for the GRE. I made my goal on Wednesday, Thursday, and today, when I took the test! (on which I performed respectably well, by the way).

That's a total, I think, of 12 out of 18. Not perfect, by any means, but I'm still giving it my all.

Did my workout. Enjoyed it, too! :D

The funny thing about doing just this one thing in this challenge is that I'm making other nice changes as well without really trying. Interesting.

I share your observation ajlewis2. I had set my mind on doing only my one habit change of waking early, but as a side effect I changed some other things as well. This has already been one of my most productive months this year.

#2 is complete. I had a great time at the seminar.

#3 is not complete. I have a 0-size in box but I have 9 pending-followup items in my feed reader. I am not going to fix that tonight. I was too optimistic about my fatigue level after donating blood and then being out of the house all day.

I am now at {17 fo 18 for August}.
