And I'm checking in for Monday August 20.
Managed to get up at 5 again.
My son helped by starting to cry at 4:56.
He's sleeping again, and I'm up with a nice cup of coffee.
Good luck everyone.

Up on time today and into work. But I'm feeling a bit yukk. Sore throat, headachey, achey. I hope it's just a short non-specific lurgy and not a cold.
Ah well, swings and roundabouts, if being ill stops me exercising then on the other side it may make me go to bed earlier.

WatchList: Work at 8.
Today: Arrived at 8:38. I blame it on Monday and getting 6.75 hours sleep last night, 3 snooze hits on the alarm, and just not wanting to pry loose from the weekend. But, it could have been far, far worse and checking in here really helps me keep somewhat on the crooked and wide.

[list:5a47d6d4f4][*:5a47d6d4f4]Report progress of old challenges
- Do daily sport (30 mins).
- Read in a book everyday (30 mins).
[*:5a47d6d4f4]August challenge
- Work towards the plan of part-time-freelancing (2 hours).[/list:u:5a47d6d4f4]
The weekend I spent nearly all time with my friends so I had to catch up today with the freelancing and reading part. By now, I completed everything: 20-for-20!
Now I have another challenge: my eye specialist told me to try contact lenses again (I had tried it about 5 years before and didn't succeed). This morning was my first attempt: after some minutes I could insert them and removed them after about 80 minutes. As they are rigid contact lenses it takes time to get used to them, I had to blink all the time. We will see how things go on.

#1 is complete. It is nice to get back in. It also serves to call me into managing the other promises in my day.
My son's flight was cancelled but it is raining so I will still do the indoor activity for an hour. That plus an hour on organization.

Goal1: Stretch/yoga 5 min/day minimum.
Result: 15 minutes after cardio at gym. (16/20 )
Goal2: Lose 1#/week through calorie max of 1800/day.
Result: 1919 total (2589 food less 670 exercise). Not bad. (6/20)
Official weigh in today: lost 1.5 pounds since last week. Sounds good, but last week I gained 2 pounds, so I'm regaining lost ground. At this point, I've lost 6 pounds since I began in May, or 30% of my total goal of 20 pounds. Not going very fast. I have some bad emotional crutch eating habits that are keeping me from really getting on with this. Wondering if I need another approach.

Hi all!
My goal is to get to bed at 10 and to exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, adding some strength and flexibility training. Last night I failed once again to get to bed on time....my record on this challenge is horrible. But I did get my exercise in this morning - about 45 minutes of jogging/walking- and I noticed that I've gotten much faster without really trying or meaning to. I run a circular route and it used to take me ten minutes to get fully around - today it was down to six. It's so nice to see some progress and it really motivates me to keep going. Now, if only I could figure out this bedtime thing!

#2 is complete. #3 is complete. It wasn't all that satisfying and I felt like I was slogging through mud a lot of the day. I need a good night's rest.
