And I'm checking in for August 22 with 22-22.
Goal: Wake up at 5:00
Done. I feel like I've accomplished my habit change already. Going to bed early and rising early are part of my new rhythm now.

Not much happening in these parts, I'm flat out with work. But this weekend I'm hoping to write a bit, and not go out so I can save some money, avoid pizza this weekend too.

Being lurgyfied with a head cold has knocked me back a bit. I haven't done any exercise since Sunday, and I got up about half an hour late this morning because I slept badly due to being all bunged up. I woke up from a weird scary dream about an hour before my usual wake up time, and then dozed for an hour and a half. Not good.
But I am getting through the research and planning work I have scheduled for this week, so I should be ready to start my upcoming writing project this weekend as planned. So I think I'll concentrate on making sure I get that work done and if the other things have to slide a bit they can slide till I feel fit again.

Today sucked for me. I woke up at around 9 (which I was supposed to), walked out side to get the paper, and then fell right back to sleep. I'm supposed to go job shopping today at 2, but it's not 1:10 and I haven't even gotten ready. I don't think ZenHabits.net is helping the situation! 8)

I so don't want to do #3, which is why I posted progress. I will start my timer and get on with it right now.

Workout is done for today. I did it with the dvd tonight and it was a nice change to sort of work out with others instead in the silence.
I had a great day today. I took off work and used the first half of the day to look at goals and set one for the next year. I identified some goals along the way to it and will probably use this forum as a way to work into the habits needed to achieve them. The day was cool and overcast. There was quite a bit of walking to get from one place to another. The sitting and thinking was interesting. I was quite focused for a change. LOL.

#3 is complete. It is always better once I simply start. I notice that I still am not creating a local copy of my promises that I can refer to. I will do that now as I make my promises for August 23.
I am at {20 of 22 for August}.

Back on track today! Decided that one reason I was struggling with the bedtime goal so much was probably that I was trying to make too large a shift so I decided to ease into it by getting to bed at 11, which I was able to do last night. And for exercise this morning I jogged/walked for almost an hour.

- Do daily sport (30 mins).
- Read in a book everyday (30 mins).

- Work towards the plan of part-time-freelancing (2 hours).[/list:u:98ab4e6f80]
22-for-22!
Every day I try to wear the contact lenses a bit longer (yesterday for about 4 hours), but I'm not totally convinced I really like them - until now I saw no benefits.
Today, I go on holidays to Croatia until 8th of September - I will continue the books- and August-challenge, on some days also my sport challenge. Have a great residual August, I'll check back in in September!
