I come into this day with {12 of 13 for September}.
Promises:
#1 Fitness: Row 300 strokes, push oars for 3minutes, alternate-arm push oars for 3 minutes, 8 leg lifts.
#2 Get out: 45 minutes working on weeding and edging the North parking strip. I need to get this done so I can start working aorund the main yard by clearing out and reseeding bald patches in the main lawn sometime toward the end of September. I want to be started no later than September 22.
#3 Organize: Reduce the blog feed backlog by at least 15 more and start organizing bills for payment this month.

Done! I ran late in the middle, because one of my MITs took about 10 minutes longer than I thought. I continued with the routine and simply cut out 10 minutes on the email/web browsing/news reading section. In the past, I would have probably cut the exercise and prayer time, but I feel committed to those things now. This is working!

Sleep 8: Bad insomnia--again! And, wouldn't have had 8 hours anyway. (0/3)
Work at 8: 8:33 - two minutes off of yesterday and a half hour better than the day before. (0/3)

September is half over and I havent been doing so well with my morning routine.
Staying up late to watch the U.S. Open had me sleeping later than I wanted and through me off schedule earlier in the month. Did better this week but still cant actually wake up at 5:45. Im clocking in around 6 and sometimes 6:20. Being a night person, I really dont like going to bed early even when Im tired.
My evening routine is pretty solid though.

I have not been checking in daily but I am here in spirit and am continuing my goals. My new goal, which sounds small, is to read some literature each day. It has been very helpful. I am also continuing with my previous months goals, some I now consider habits but I don't want to get cocky.
still walking, praying, not eating past 8, eat breakfast every day, and more. feel pretty good, I actually feel transformed. Zamourai_02

#1, #2, and #3 are complete. Before I rowed today, there was some of the lower back pane that I have been experiencing since June. But that pain is so diminished ordinarily that I often go through a day without noticing any at all. And the rowing seemed to have stretched it out. The weeding went great (it will probably take 5-6 more sessions to get it all) and I am encouraged by that. My unprocessed backlog of feed articles rose to 50 today (down from today's peak of 226) and I have reduced it to 33.
Tonight is weekly computer-system tune-ups and backups, so while that is going on I am going to create some blog posts and further reduce the unprocessed backlog of feed articles.

Had a half day client meeting today, but still managed to get a little time in
on the project, completing about 1/2 the work of organizing my walk-in closet,
and posted a laptop, and unused furniture for sale online.
Can't call 1 hour 3, though:). So I'm {10:14} going into Sat. Sept 15.
My plan is to hit it hard for the next 3 days, and regain the upper hand on
finishing this thing:
Tomorrow: List remaining items for sale online, more time on Inbox processing.
Sunday: Finish zeroing out Inbox paper, and setting up new financial system. Finish bedroom setup.
Monday: Finish closets and living room setup; pare-down & organize (30 yrs of!) photos.
That will put me 95% there by Monday evening. Then again, i may be fantasizing about
getting this much done over the weekend:)
When I sometimes think this project is too much, I recall James Fallows' 2003 interview
(in "the Atlantic") with David Allen, the creater/Zenmaster of GTD. Fallows went to Allen's residential house in
Ojai (rural/suburban southern california) somewhat un-announced. "I went straight
for the closets! DA.N... they looked like they were straight out of a LEVENGER ad!!".
So he had to admit that it WAS possible to get to that level of order in one's life... lol.
Anyway I found it very funny.
