The alarm is set for 7am, and it wakes me up; but I need to actually get up right then instead of staying in bed for half-an-hour. Also, I sleep in on the weekends; but I don't think that is good for a regular schedule.
So for the month of October, I'll get up at 7am every day (or before if I need to).

Getting up early is great! I like lounging around for a few hours before I officially "begin" my day. I go online, watch the news, eat breakfast, have a cup of tea, and overall, just relax.

Oct 3: 7am exact this morning.
It is nice -- now I have some time to do some stuff before I need to leave for work, instead of rushing off. It adds more time to my day.

Heh, that sounds like cheating; but if you make it out of bed by 7, I suppose that is at least consistent :)
Oct 4: 7am again today; feeling a bit tired, though, so I may have to try and go to bed a bit earlier.

The weekend was strange because of travelling; had a red-eye to the East Coast Fri/Sat, and slept once I got there; so Oct 6 was N/A for my habit.
Oct 7 (Sun): Made it -- got up at 7 (East Coast time).
Oct 8 (Mon): Got up right at 7.
Oct 9: Lay in bed for a few minutes, but still got up pretty quickly.

Oct 13: Got up by 7:10; first time I've done that on a weekend without a requirement. It feels good, though; gives lots of extra time to the day.

I'm joining late in the month, so my 30 day experiment will have to run till November 20th. I challenge myself to be up by 6AM and out of bed by 7AM. I seem to need to lay in bed reflecting, probably with too much negative thinking, but some of it is "planning." So I am allowing myself the 6 to 7 hours for planning (what I should call it). Then out of bed at 7AM, not any later (though of course it can be earlier).
Thanks for having this thread.

That sounds like a good way to do things, too; time to reflect is good (and I don't think I do enough of it).

I don't do so well on weekends. I'd like to get up at 7, but I feel so tired that I can't help but sleep in; which then throws off my schedule (and I feel kind of groggy for the day). I just can't seem to get a rhythm down.
Oct 27 (Sat): Woke up around 5:30 or 6, couldn't get back to sleep until about 7 (I still felt tired); then didn't get up until 9.
