Since October, first I try to write down my daily plan with my priorities. In the afternoon or evening I review my day and this is really very insightfull.
It helped me to stay focused on the last 3 days. I hope this feeling will stay.

Goal: Post an ad a day

Today, I put an ad up for a book.

Yesterday's ad scored a sale, so I'm happy about that.

Alarm failed to go off at 5:30 am, but I still woke up at 5:30 but failed to drag myself out of bed - didn't get up till 9:03.

pretty annoyed with myself after having made a good start yesterday. part of trouble was I could get to sleep till about 1:30am, was just lying there unable to switch off.

oh well - will try again tomorrow !

Focus on Punctuality: Be Early rather than late.

Had three appointments today.
Was very early for one. Was a bit late for one. the last one is well...

Tomorrow will be better. At least i was early for one of the three, so that not bad start.

Goal: avoid eating out for the whole month.
Log: 3/3. Still slightly tempted by pumpkin latte season, but I'll do fine. I made sure to go grocery shopping today at work so I wouldn't have to buy lunch for the rest of the week.

Did pretty well but lost control later in the evening! Breakfast: english muffin and fruit spread (4), tea and milk (1), JITB chicken fajita pita (6.5), 3 hershey kisses (2), glass of wine (2), chips and dip (7), choc covered peanuts (6) = 28.5. Played racquetball for one hour, so that helps a bit.

baby steps. with the exception of some weakness to the bowls of tempting Halloween candy in the office ( I had three mini bars today...grrr!) I have made strides...i am more and more aware of my motivation to eat. If it's not hunger, then distracting myself with another option has worked MOST of the time. Still have not had a day that I would consider a complete success.

I did well with my meal plan but blew dinner ... but I'm calling it one of my two cheat meals for the week, so I stayed on the plan. :)

I also did my morning exercise and then went running in the evening.

I'm 3-for-3!

I come into this day at {0 of 2 for October}.

Promise:

#3 Organization/Productivity: 60 minutes clearing notebook clutter, ordering 2008 Day-Timer pages, and flattening all accounts. Time blocking my day is done as part of my morning calendar review and these plus other activities are to be placed in existence in time before I start drifting into random activities after morning 4Cs: Cat feeding, Coffee brewing, Computers fired up, and Calendar reviewed.

#4 Visibility: 60 minutes, after completing work for the day, putting together a blog/web-pages/video/podcast on something relevant to my work and interests.

I have already time-blocked the day and I am going to stay on top of that and see how being rested and managing my energy keeps me engaged and I keep restoring myself to my agenda and timelines.

I already know that #4 is probably not enough time so I will see what I can have after the evening meal between around 8:30pm until 10:30pm. On my problem with RSS feeds, I don't know if more people are blogging what I care about or what, but I have a boune of around 200 new articles a day, which I am able to reduce to about 25 new ones that are marked for follow-up and unread (so I can use my unread item folder to find them easily). Today, for example, I bounced from a backlog of 374 to 557 and back to 407. This means that if I want to see the backlog go down, I need to clear about 50 every day to handle the new ones and reduce the previous backlog. We'll see ....

It is nice to see so many people playing the game this month.

#3 and #4 are complete. I notice that I am not specific enough about the result of #4. It is the time invested. In this case, I did the hour and it wasn't enough. Also, I only brought my feed items backlog down to 402, although I organized more drafts and incorporated links from backlog material. I sitll am not where I have any posts coming loose. I must get the backlog down first. There will be points where drafts are close enough to turn into publishable bits.

I am now at {1 of 3 for October}. Finally on the scoreboard.

Work on marketing: allocate at least 30 minutes daily into working on
marketing-related tasks for my consulting practice.

Only had time for 30 minutes today but did that so I'm 3:3 going into
Thu Oct 4.

umm... did ok for the first day actually... there were so many times that I stopped myself as soon as I realized I was about to feast on my poor nails except for one time that I was so engrossed in chatting with a friend, by the time I said my goodbyes I realised I had bit an entire nail :(
