Purged my @Incubation folder and did a few small tasks.
Well, I've made it through my first ZenHabits Challenge! It was something I had been meaning to try ever since I first read about it, but you know- procrastination and all that. I didn't keep track of my successful days and I know there were a bunch that I missed, but overall I'm satisfied. On to November!

No alcohol (started 20th of Oct): Halloween was cheat day. I had a few beers with friends.

I came into this day at {17 of 30 for October}
Promise:
#3/4 Productivity/Visibility: 2 hours or more, public visible result
Success: I finally uploaded updated web site materials reflecting the accomplishment I had made.
I ended this month at {18 of 31 for October}.
Concern: I notice a kind of erosion through randomization on the forum, mostly people not knowing the protocol for the daily reports, using a shared-public thread for the monthly habit creation. I see I am making the forum "wrong" for my poor track record in October, too!! I do notice that I had not posted any completions since the one for October 28, and I had to make three posts to be accountable for my promises. So, along with my low accomplishment, I am losing the habit of zenHabiting. Now, the habits I developed in earlier months are in place, but this one seems to be the participation killer. I must look at who I am in this matter and find something that has me be no-kidding committed, like my life depends on it. Hmm.

Well, I was trying to read 30 minutes everyday. Over the course of the month I missed 3 days. This whole challenge thing really worked, and although I accept the habit may drift away from me again sometime in teh future, for now I feel like following this challenge has done a solid first pass at ingraining the reading habit into my day.
I've got something new for November!
