Just to add....I'd also say the best "sport" for optimal hormonal responses for fat loss and muscle gain/maintenance are those with built in "intervals" of high effort and lower recovery....like I go run a trail and alternate going fast...and slow....or mountain bike which means all out up hill, and fun ride down hill. Most sports are built around quick explosive effort...and then a phase of lower recovery. Good for boosting things like GH which are key to health and performance (hence all those athletes are taking it!). Again....enjoy what you do...have fun...and you will live a good healthy lifestyle....as long as you don't take it too far as there is always a point of diminishing returns...such as when you increase cortisol levels and then start getting into muscle breakdown mode...or increase oxidative damage through excess free radicals....not good for long term health.
