Woke up at 5:30 and completed a 6K run. Slow and easy, felt good. Now, heading to face the day!

Well done Ashwin-and thanks for the link to joesgoals from your sig :)

I sat down for a planning session yesterday evening before bed. Our DSL still wasn't sorted so I was limited to the phone again. The two work items on my list are still ongoing, and I added a couple to the phone and email lists. Some of these have already been squashed.

I'm really starting to enjoy this habit, it rounds off my day nicely and I even seem to be sleeping better because the next day's stuff is off my mind.

From yesterday's check-in idea, went ahead and put a 3x5 card on my bed pillow that says "have you meditated?". This should remind me to do the sit before hitting the sack.

Did indeed meditate last night. 12/16.

A realization: there's something to be said for the phrase "success is 10% inspiration, and 90% perspiration" (forgot who said that). I've found that I've been counting on inspiration to pull me through the rough patches, and when the inspiration isn't there, my efforts tend to flop. I'm learning again that discipline takes a conscious decision, over and over again, to do what needs to be done. It feels like I'm developing a mental muscle that's been long underutilized.

Yesterday was much better than the past week or more. I plan to keep it going.

Got up and lifted weights. Was easy to get up because neighbor's fire alarm had been going off (needed batteries and I guess they weren't home) for hours.

Seem to still be writing things down and capturing them on BackPack. I hope this sticks.

Two down, one started but carries over to tomorrow. Old-fashioned evil brimstone-smouldering curses on boomerang tasks!

So I got up before 7... but much later than yesterday, and I slept in until the last possible moment (6:10). It tells me the behavior itself hasn't actually changed... Frustrating.

I ate cereal again on the drive to work with a Diet Coke from the gas station. I think this is it. I really want a DC in the morning and not food from McD. I have confidence that I can stay on track now!

I ran for 2 miles today and walked about 1 mile. I am stopping by the store today to pick up a notebook to start recording my food intake as well as my time and distance when running. I'm starting to notice that by running in the morning right after i stretch but before i eat anything gives me energy throughout the day. Usually i would be constantly yawning, now i just feel awake!!

Loving the start of a great new year and I know it is only going to get better!!

Keep it going everyone!!! :D

:o There has been a skunk wandering thru my yard lately!! I didn't see any relationship between what I've been going thru and that skunk.......that was until today. I Googled "Skunk" totem and found sum good stuff.
On one site it said this;

"I will not tolerate abuse in any form.
I have power!
I will not let others use me.
I am a divine child!
I will sift out friends, keeping the good.
That is my responsibility!
Like the skunk, I will learn when to be disagreeable.
That is my right!"

I had recently had to deal with these types of things and it hurt really bad. Reading skunk totem stuff helped me to get past the sorrow part of my situation!!! Should have realized that something didn't smell right about those people :x !!

Hopefully the skunk can go and move on to help someone else now in regards to personal power and leave my yard smellin like a bed of Roses!!
Today was a turning point. I'm glad.
