Once again no internet (though I believe it's now been sorted out again) so yesterday was another phone list day. Not much changed, I added one item to do at lunch today, but something came up so it's had to be deferred to tomorrow.

18 of 20 and on a serious streak of 10 in a row! w00t! :)

Today is my in-office day. I telecommute 4 days a week. So far my lists are still up to date and my inbox is clean. Hopefully it will stay that way today. I take that back. I know it will stay that way today. I also made some progress on getting some tasks for my new business done. Yeah me!

Where I definitely slept in, but maybe not as much as I might have before. Arose at 7 am today, though I would have preferred 6 am. Still, I count this as a success!

Summary: Meditated last night. 18/22

Lead up to the meditation: I was watching television, a really neat science show, and realized that if I stayed up to watch the entire show, I'd end up feeling too tired to sit. Ruminated a bit on what to do, then remembered "hey, I have a DVR! I can record the show while I do the sit.". A "no duh!" moment for most folks, I'm sure, but finding ways to incorporate the sit, instead of just ditching it, is a new way of thinking for me. Happy to see it happening. As others have said here before, yay me! :-D

Inboxes are already empty this morning, due to processing them right before bed. Still, my weekday habit is to process in the AM, so yay!

YAY!
I'm doing good. Although I have a lot of new material to work on, so from here on out I'm going to have to try extra hard to stay focused.

Big setback this weekend - dislocated my shoulder in my sleep. Was able to pop it right back in, but lifting weights is on hold for awhile. Ran yesterday and today instead, so still on target for weekly goal.

Keeping the inboxes empty. If I am going to answer them, I begin the answer and save it in drafts with an "A:" at the beginning of the subject. If I am waiting for something before I can answer it, then I put a W: and what I'm waiting for in the subject. Anything else gets moved either to a project or ToDo, filed, or trashed.

I've been checking the Drafts folder when I have time to write emails.

This habit seems pretty easy for me.

I missed one run because I had to go home due to sickness in the family, but apart from that it's all going well.

It really feels like a habit now - I don't really have to force myself to get out, it would seem strange not to getup and go for a run now I think!

Could not workout on Monday, was a bit disappointed. But not really a problem, I can workout Tue-Thu-Sat this week and still get the 3 workouts/week.

So, was at the gym today (Tuesday). Hard workout, slept like a rock after that.

I like this system.

I have two folders that I use, "Follow Up" and "Reference." If I know I need to do something and I have everything I need to do it (except the time), I put it in Follow Up. That is usually emptied by the end of the day. E-mails that require a response at a later date or will be useful in a current or pending project go into Reference. Everything else gets archived or deleted and the information is placed into my GTD system.

I may have to try yours though...

Went for a Sobe rather than soda at lunch (hey, its been months since I've had one) and decided once again on lemonade rather than soda for dinner.

[list:8b77a5fd5d][*:8b77a5fd5d]Cut down on alcohol (continued report from December): Pass the two last days. 19/22.
[*:8b77a5fd5d]Work on improving self-awareness and self-confidence (read my statements to myself every day): Pass and fail the two last days. I had worked so much yesterday that I was just too tired to read the statements to myself. Even if many people say you should do it just before you go to bed, I think about doing it earlier before I am too tired. 19/22.

Woke up at 6:30am - though fell back asleep after an hour, but napped only for a little bit.
