Meditated last night. Is it 24/29 now? I think so...

29th: meditated for 15 min.
i think it's 26/29 now.
I'm thinking for my February challenge I'll work on processing my physical inbox to zero every day. I've gotten pretty good at keeping my email at or near zero lately, but my physical inbox isn't close. Mostly it's because I'm lazy with my filing system to which a lot of inbox stuff goes into. The real hurdle here will be processing the inbox the first time. Once it's cleaned once, I will just have to keep it at zero.
It's been a great January challenge everyone. Thanks for Leo for this forum and his amazing posts. Thanks to everyone for being inspiring, meeting your own challenges everyday.

Processed to zero in not too long. Need for a review building up in one of my personal projects, but it's ok. It's in flux at the moment, so it doesn't make sense to review it until I'm committed (or it goes into the someday / maybe list)

Wow, it's a little lonely in here towards the end of the month, lol :) Around 60 replies daily towards the beginning of the month, as opposed to 20 daily. Sorry I don't really read this forum, before I figured people were treating it as a write only medium.

I guess going on a cruise in the middle of my goal of walking isn't such a good idea, but going on the cruise was a good idea. I had a great time, and did do some walking, but not as much as if I had stayed home.
Will continue this goal for February, so stay tuned.

only got 20 minutes of exercise today, but it was hard-won and stuffed among work-related emergencies. I feel like at least the habit is building enough for me to stick to it on a day like today. And since I started 2 weeks ago, I am down 3.5 lbs!

I did it, in the howling wind and driving rain. I turned home early because of the insane weather but at least I got out there!

ScooterVagabond noted that s/he doesn't "really read this forum, before I figured people were treating it as a write only medium." I didn't read the others at first either, but I started to at some point. As ScooterVagabond noted, there ARE a few of us who have dropped off -- and I think of them each day when I check in, hoping they'll return, or at least continue with their goals.
I got discouraged a few days ago... Hummm, might have been closer to a week. Started research again last night-- a good default when I don't have the energy or courage to put fingers to the keyboard. And then I got side tracked with The Intelligent Warrior (subliminal video) mentioned in another part of this forum. In trying to download the first video I discovered that Technology has eclipsed me again... (This happened 8 years ago--I solved the problem by purchasing a powerful G4 (to replace a Mac II). But now the G4 is slowly becoming a dinosaur.). And the G4 is making photograph editing / storage a REAL drag... so it's time to upgrade again. Sigh.
But I digress...
Today: Zippo on photography
Starting to add details to the first part of Pt 2 Ch 3 I started several days/ a week ago, so the book is moving forward again. Ah-whew.

It >is< sad to see people dropping off. It makes me wonder if the crowd will be significantly smaller for the February Challenge. For whatever reason, checking in every day has kept me on track for nearly a month now with a habit that I've never been able to keep going for more than a few days. This >really works< for me, and I plan to keep going for as long as it's available and even a little populated.
Anyway, I did record my spending again. Whee!
Stay strong through the stretch, everyone,

I've just completed my list processing now.
25/28 :)
I'd like to echo Caron's thanks and positive sentiments, this forum has definitely helped establish this habit. I have a challenge planned for Feb already (actually I plan to start Monday the 4th) and I'm really excited about it.
Caron if I can make a suggestion, what helped me get through my physical inbox cleanup (after months of neglect) was to set aside a Saturday morning, turn off my phone, tell my wife I'd be unavailable and close my door till I was done. That, combined with a simpler filing system made a huge difference. Good luck!

Thanks FlintZA, this sounds like a really good idea. :) I think I will give it a try.

Processed to zero in about 30 minutes and came up with a way to integrate work's scrum organizational system into my GTD / ZTD hybrid. Basically in backpackit I have a section for weekly big rocks, but now what I'm doing is making these weekly big rocks bi/weekly big rocks (the scrum period). I figure I do my review at the end of each scrum period - when we seem to have a couple of 'limbo days' anyways as the current scrum ends and the next begins.
A review every two weeks may be too infrequent, so I may run 2 weekly reviews but just have every other one correspond with the end of the scrum.
One more day on this habit, I'll write a short post mortem on it in this thread tomorrow.
I may end up scheduling a weekly review for tomorrow evening so I can start the new month, and new habit 'Do' from a clean slate.
Do is going to be a rough one.
