What new habit will you form this month? Use the power of the group to motivate you to success!
Remember:
1. One habit at a time is best.
2. Small goals are more successful in these challenges -- don't bite off too much at once.
3. If you post every day to this forum, you'll be more successful -- more accountability = better motivation.
Good luck everyone!

My January Challenge was a big failure, which was really discouraging. For February, I'm going to choose something really tiny.
February Challenge: Each morning, write down five half-hour tasks I want to do before the day is over.
That's it. I don't have to do the tasks, but I have to write them down. Most retarded goal ever.

Here's my edited-down version of Mike's handy bookmarklet:

And here's a version for those with two goals:

My February goal is to do a set of pushups to fail (go until I can't do anymore) twice a day and record the number I did.

I'm going to try to complete every reading assignment for class right on time. I've got a lot of them this quarter.

;_; that would actually probably be helpful.
Be sure to post/link to your articles in the dailies. I'd post my five tasks each day, but they'd be just asinine spam.

Last month it was: Get ready for the next day the night before. I was to pack my lunch, lay out my clothes, and put my tote bag by the door. I thought that it was very simple. Evidently it wasn't, it had 3 parts.
I've gotten into the habit of figuring out what I'm going to wear the next day.
Too many times I'd leave my packed lunch behind.
This month: Plan my work lunches. NO hitting the snack machines downstairs, no running out for fast food, NO SKIPPING LUNCH.

This was my one and only zenhabits goal too, made back in September, and it was a complete disaster. I'll try it again along with you, a :)
I get one e-mail check at 9:00. Then no more internets, unless work-related, until noon.

My new habit for February will be getting myself out of bed at 4am each morning. For the past week I've been getting up at 5am, and it was 6am the week before that (with 15 minute steps in between), so it shouldn't be too much of a shock to the system.

My January Challenge of speaking with more confidence fell through mid way.
February's Challenge is to speak with more women on a daily basis.
I want to become more comfortable with this and seizing opportunity when it presents itself.

First-timer here, hoping a little accountability will help ;)
I typed up a whole page of habits I'm desperately in need of, but in the name of keeping things simple and doable, my first goal is to eat breakfast and take vitamins every day.

Last month's challenge -- writing down every cent I spent -- went very well, so this month I'm taking on something a little bit more difficult. I have a touch of social anxiety and tend to be a bit of a hermit, so every day I'm going to do some sort of social activity for at least half an hour. Shopping doesn't count. The default activity will be today's: sitting in a cafe and reading for half an hour. Today it turned out to be unexpectedly rewarding, since I ran into a friend and had a nice, if quick, chat. Tomorrow I'm going to Mass. I'm going to try to plan the week out in advance so that I'll get in a variety of activities that I've always wanted to do -- going to the local Democrat's club and so forth.
Good luck to everyone. I'm glad to see people persisting.
Love to all,
MfC

January's goal: No soda. I did well, I only drank soda twice (once each week, which was a freebie).
My goal this month will be to work out for say... 5 minutes a day. Like, pushups, situps, stuff like that. It might not be a LOT, but I think that I'll actually be able to accomplish it. In fact, I will go days where I work out without thinking about it too much, but then I'll go a week without doing so. Time to make it a habit!

Hi all,
My January challenge fell apart a bit ...I had a two-parter but only succeeded with doing three daily MIT's. My goal of eating meals on time (no skipping or forgetting lunch until 4) went all to pieces. I think this is because I've backslid a bit on a previous challenge of getting up at a decent hour. So this month's challenge is to go back to keeping to a reasonable schedule - in bed by 11, up by 7, and three meals a day at appropriate times. I'm hopeful this will work.
I wish you all the best of luck. Go get 'em!

I'd like to take a couple of weeks off and work on my novel, but that being impossible I'm going to work on it one page at a time. All I need is 10 minutes a day - every day.
Maybe I'll have trouble keeping my train of thought; maybe that will turn out to be a good thing. I always rush things, as though life is a race. This time I'll try slow.
