Woohoo, in before anseris ;)

On this last day of the challenge, I got up at 6:15 and did 15 minutes of Tai Chi.

23/26, a very successful challenge I feel and I'm comfortable that this has become an automatic habit on weekdays.

I sat down to plan yesterday, but despite being the 'older' challenge habit of the two I don't feel it's nearly as automatic. I need to reconsider when to do it and the surrounding circumstances/triggers.

Well done all for your progress this month :)

I did well this week. I ate at home Monday thru Thursday. It was tough for the month though. I am addicted to convenience. I am going to continue this goal for March.

Inbox clean. 28/29
This month's challenge really took me by surprise. I thought it would be a constant struggle with the inbox. But after the initial clean out, which was tricky but not as bad as it could have been, keeping things filed in my filing cabinet instead of lying in the inbox was way easier than I thought. My place has looked great this month! :)
As with my past challenges, if I start to slack with this one I will post about it here.
Thanks to Leo for his posts and you all for doing your own challenges.

So I haven't become a master at this by any means. Yes, I believe I have become more comfortable with talking to girls.
I have one I want to pursue. We'll see how that goes. I have come to realize it is not a big deal at all.
It's a fact of life. Women may not bring happiness but they do bring excitement. I mean, what makes one feel more alive
than talking to a pretty girl? I don't know. A simple "Hi" always does the trick. Today I am challenging myself to just openly
talk to at least one new girl. It should be fun, not a chore. I skipped a couple of days this month. But all in all I'm happy and will
just build on my successes.

Thanks to everyone for a great month.
This was my first monthly challenge and it has really changed things for the better for me. My life is much more calm, I am getting more sleep, and getting more things done. I love reading your posts everyday, it keeps me motivated to know you are all out there!

Good month!

I feel like I've definitely built the habit of doing pushups into my daily routine. I felt like I improved as the month went along. Something I didn't foresee was that my body would be too tired some days (from hockey and working out) to really make doing any extra pushups beneficial. Each time I gave myself a deliberate rest day, I would rebound with two very solid sets the following day. I'm going to pay even closer attention to what my body tells me in terms of the rest of my workouts from now on.

Final tally was...

23/29

Also, on a few of those 6 days that I missed, I still managed to do at least one set done. I think there were only two days where I didn't do any sets at all.

Made it last night, which was a situation in which I often have trouble (dinner with the parents), so I was pleased with myself. Tonight should not be a problem as I'm kind of feeling like I'm coming down with a cold so I want to keep my resistance up, plus there is no beer in the fridge and no wine open.

A really productive day to celebrate our once-every-four-years February 29! I've enjoyed watching everyone else's progress so much, and it's made a big difference in keeping me compliant with my own goal. Looking forward to discovering the new challenges we each settle on for March. Happy weekend, all!

This challenge really pushed me, and the benefits have been great. I've joined a couple of neat organizations, met some cool people, and reconnected with my parents. Really wonderful. I definitely feel like I can now incorporate a lot more social activity into my life and experience a lot less anxiety about it.

For March: Practicing yoga daily. I should be able to check in more regularly with this challenge, though perhaps not in the mornings, which has been my habit so far.

Love to all,

MfC

I missed the daily report fairly often, but I continued my challenge. This is my summary for February:
[list:ab9d6b1346][*:ab9d6b1346]Work on improving self-awareness and self-confidence (read my statements to myself every day, continued report from January): 28/29. I call this habit established!
[*:ab9d6b1346]Challenge 2 (goal: min. 22/29): 19/29. I had a weak start, but managed to improve over time. In the last days however, I had one not-planned "fail" (that means, beside my cheat days). Overall, I am really happy about the result and will continue to report for the next month (and further improve).

So I missed the last day of the habit (logging this on Mar 1), because I was at home with my family. So I ended up missing 6 days of the 29. I'm feeling ambivalent about doing the next one, but I think that's because my last day of writing was very challenging for me. Got to get back on the horse.

Done.

Missed yesterday.

Summary... I started late (on the 4th) so... 24/26

In retrospect, I should hav established the goal to exclude days where I have full-day plans. I would not expect to creates todos for a day like that so it shouldn't count against my totals. Anyway, I did much better than I expected. And yet I still don't feel it's established yet. Maybe another month will do the trick. Thanks for setting this challenge up and thanks to everyone who participated.

Personally, I don't know how much the forum helped me. I found checking in to be a chore and I hardly read other's posts. I guess when I did read the posts though it was helpful. Maybe I should make it a habit to check in more often. However, having Joe's Goals in my sig was a big boost. My progress was right there in my sig where the world can see it.

So anyway, looking forward to what March will bring. :D

Oh yeah, Friday... now Friday was a shocker. (Waves to FlintZA at the other end of the line)

Was up and about at 4.30, but I'm not sure my state could honestly be described as "awake". Only about 100 words.

Wishing everyone energy and focus for March!
