A sudden thing to ask, but it fits the 'general discussion' header.
I did for about two years and really enjoyed it. It served as a pseudo-antidepressant by taming some of my loop-thinking and anxiety. I can't only say good things about it.
However, I have to get a job soon, which, unfortunately, means drug tests. Therefore, I stopped smoking months ago. I miss it sometimes, but have had no urge to go back.
You're right about moderation. I almost always waited at least a week between uses, though sometimes I smoked for three days straight as well. My moderation (and the fact that it was pretty weak weed) might have been factors in how easy it was to quit.

I don't smoke at all. While its good in moderation (as is everything), I honestly don't have a reason to touch it. Since I'm good at managing stress in other ways, as well as any other emotion that comes my way, I don't need to use it to help calm me down, or relax. But honestly, as long as I don't have to deal with people who smoke constantly (we have quite a few in college) than I'm completely okay with it.

I used to smoke. I was a chronic user though. I have trouble with balance because I tend to be at one end of the spectrum or the other. I go all out or cut it off. I smoked practically everyday from age 14 till 31. Now I don't smoke it or cigs anymore. (I am 33) I miss it on rare occasions but don't really crave it or even think about it anymore. I also quit smoking cigarettes too. I think it was a form of escapism for me but have no need to escape anymore since I am no longer married. hehe I will probably smoke again when I retire though but at that time it will be for enjoyment but I bet I will still be chronic.

As I'm living in the Netherlands I can get it legally here, but I don't. It's funny how so many foreign people think everybody here in Holland is smoking all the time. Actually the people that smoke the most here are tourist I guess. I did do it ocasionally, you know, just to try it out, but it's not my kind of thing.

i do.
chalk it up to living in a city where it's perfectly acceptable to walk down the street with a joint in hand without the police glancing in your direction.
i abuse it.
i am mentally addicted.
it is part of my routine and therefore is not necessarily as enjoyable as it has been for awhile.
i have researched Marijuana Anonymous. I am not interested in going to meetings because I don't want to meet others who may be potential smoking buddies and enablers.
it is negatively affecting my relationship with my boyf.
i get extremely anxious when i am getting low on my supply.
i would like to cut down tremendously.

I went through a spell of various drug use/abuse during my teenage years but eventually got bored with it and in particular many of the arseholes who seemed to be attracted to that culture at the time (sure nobody here fits that description :D ).
I always remember that weed in particular made me awfully paranoid and that side of things really became a problem...as I am now suffering from a couple of anxiety disorders I don't think I would like to revisit that as I'm already pretty screwed up!!

I don't smoke anything, and I rarely drink. My crazy thoughts keep me entertained enough so that I have no desire to use chemicals to mess with my mind. :D
I'd like to experience being high, just to see what it's like, but I don't ever care to actually do it. It's not really important to me.

Heh heh... yup, I'm the same *grin* I've never really had any interest in it, although when I accidentally chopped part of my finger off and the doctors gave me some panadeine forte, I did enjoy the false sense of peace from the codeine ;-P
