Adam, I like the little cars on your desk.

Heath, wow. Like Clair said, good fortune to you.

I'm a bit of a car nut. Those are just a small tribute. I should probably take some updated pictures and actually show a before and after for some of the changes I've made...

no worries here, no pity required. i can afford a "real" place, but i just choose not to. i think my mindset is similar to fellow gypsy oceanwindsong: all of the required things are there, some luxury items are there, just not alot of space, lol.. but it has forced me to simplify and prioritize more than i ever have before (man i am a packrat at heart), and i totally dig the fact that i discovered that most of the "stuff" i had before is not needed, nor desired. it's so simple, flexible, and cheap.. but yeah, the stigma of "drifter" is attached to it lol.. i am impressed with the clean simple decluttered looks of the places in this thread though. very nice. before pictures should be required though to truly appreciate the time, effort, and sacrifice that went into the efforts of creating the after pictures lol.. i have used alot of "quotes" in this post..

We seem to be on the same path Heath.....is it normal to spend your life trying to buy one small square of land so you can call it 'your own',when we all share this great big home called Earth? I love the bigger picture and i love where i live ...wherever i pull up and stop!!!!

yeah, i subscibe to the "home is where you park it" philosophy as well lol... i, of course, do not encroach upon some one's private property, but i have spent more than a few nights in walmart parking lots, campgrounds, rest areas, and the like, all the while still being at home. know you can do that is refreshingly liberating isn't it? you need to post pics! this entire thread needs more pics, i have enjoyed it.. before and after pics for those that overhaul their living space..

Liberating is the word ..parking up in a car park next to the coast and watching the sunset over the ocean on a summer evening while reading a really good book instead of working overtime to pay for that new (fill in whatever) that i cant afford anyway....theres no choice in my mind....pics are bit difficult at the moment as my camera works when it wants to (typical 21st century tech)...i'll get a new one when i've saved the cash but its not a priority...just a luxury

Keep in touch my friend...let me know how life treats your chosen path.....

I'm addicted to air conditioning and hot showers. Living in a car for me would be challenging.

Does carrying stuff in your pockets bother you at all? I'm always glad to hand off everything to my girlfriend to put in her purse. :D

It bothers me a little, that's why I tried to simplify what I was carrying with me. I used to carry a back to work in case I needed to take my computer home and a lot of stuff would end up in there. Then I realized I wasn't really using it for anything productive and started leaving it at home to see how things would go, and it's just fine. In fact, sometimes I don't even carry the notebook around as long as I have relatively easy access to it.
