I'd say my worst eating habit is eating too much food at once. I'm trying to start eating healthier, but I have always ate healthy as far as eating junk food at sweets go. I also eat too many cheeseburgers, fried and greasy foods, and cheesy foods, etc. which I'm in the process of trying to cut back on. I used to eat before bed every night but for some reason I don't do that anymore at all.

Junk food. I'll randomly decide that something I KNOW will make me feel sick sounds delicious. And then I always regret it later, but never learn my lesson. Ugh.

Snacking first thing in the morning. If there is cake or chocolate in the house, I can't resist a snack when I get up (before my Tai Chi no less.. *sigh*).

Snacking constantly throughout the day, especially when I'm doing homework. And not on the good stuff either, but on junk.

I just made chocolate chip cookie dough the other day and ate a bunch last night before bed. I eat a lot though I'm pretty thin. Hoping it will last. I actually live in Holland where the snack food selection is horrible, so I have to be creative to find good junk food. I'm sure it's a blessing.

Just curious...why don't you have a choice? The only thing we do control is what we put in our mouths.

Put me in a stressful situation -- and watch out. But here is what is great: I know I am a stress eater so I have an advantage -- I can come up with ways of dealing with it before I encounter a problem. For example, when I get stressed and I want to eat unhealthily food, I do one of two things: 1) I allow myself to eat the junk food I am craving if I eat an apple first. Often time, by eating the apple, it takes away (or reduces) my urge for the junk food. 2) I allow myself to eat what I am craving if I wait 15 minutes and I still want the bad food. Again, by waiting, it reduces the likelihood of making the wrong choice.

By understanding what triggers my bad habits, I have a better chance of making good choices.

so many can't decide which is the worst. i heard a phrase a few weeks ago that sums it up,
"too much is just enough"
it is getting better though, little by slowly

It's more of a "I don't have a choice but to avoid them". It's so hard to find food on short notice, eating out, on a road trip, etc, that doesn't have a ton of carbs.

Burgers...skip the bun, Chicken fingers, meat and salad...all found in most restaurants or fast food joints. Beef Jerkey, pork rinds, nuts are great for road trips. Plenty of options....just need to know what is out there, plan ahead and make it happen.

Mine is not eating enough fruit. I've gotten better at eating vegetables but I still need to eat more fruit. My problem is that I don't eat much to begin with, so I don't give myself much of an opportunity anyway.

Still trying to control bedtime eating. I'm at least eating healthier at that time. Last night I ate qrapefruit and a ton of leafy salad right before bed. I feel like I must be either not getting enough nutrition throughout the day or I've have just developed a bad habit.

Eating late at night is when most people "crave" sugar....there is an interesting theory about that which is if you go back to 10,000 BC....there were 2 seasons of eating...ones full of fruits. vegetables when they were in season for the summer...and then winter where you survived on what you could hunt or find (no fruits). So sugar was really only present during the summer months. Plus winter probably had more "famines" than summer as the choices for food were limited....so a natural survival instinct of the body is to "fatten up" for winter....so you can live off your fat stores during times of little food. Summer is only known to the body by the "long days" of light....therefore it's time to get fat for winter...so hence cravings for sugar. Now come into modern times where people are staying up late with artificial lighting and TV....now the body is confused and thinks it is summer....all the time....so it craves sugar to fatten up for winter....except winter/famine never comes. So that's why most people crave/binge on sugar usually later at night......another reason to go to bed early.

I have issues about eating that stem from my parents being critical of my weight.

***Before I divulge, please understand that I am not a retarded stoner. I am also not looking to be criticized for this, as I am very open about it and I genuinely believe that the good herb has benefits for my anxiety. I am conscious on what the pros and cons are, and I am in a state that prescriptions are available, so every aspect of my decision to smoke is done legally.***

(Can you tell that I have been lectured about this on many occasions? My apologies for the defensiveness.)

I do know that I use p0t as a way of disconnecting myself and my thoughts from the act of eating. I also use it as a crutch to overeat and binge.

Typically. this all happens in the evenings.

There must be a biological reason for this, but one of my worst habits is that I have a terrible urge for sweets after eating a carb-heavy meal. It's like my body has just gotten a taste and is like MOAR!!! All my worst dietary discretions are committed in the name of this craving.

I'm also guilty of emotional eating... when I have a bad day I long for nothing so much as ice cream.

I think all this ties into my belief that no one food per se is bad, it's just bad habits that revolve around eating when we're not hungry.
