Hiccup in my debt reduction plan

So I've mentioned this in other posts, but my #1 goal for the next year is to pay off debt, namely the two cars and the credit card, which is about $26,000.
If you count the Student Loan and Retirement Loan I took out for my house, then we're talking $45,500, but I think for now I'll just start with slightly half since the Student loan has the lowest interest rate and the retirement loan is just me paying myself back at 5%.

Anyways...
I got a puppy a few weeks ago, literally rescued him from the street before he even got to the SPCA. I want to build a fence in my backyard for him. Two sides are already complete thanks to my neighbors, I just need to do one side and the two little parts that come up to the sides of the house. So it shouldn't be too expensive, the problem is it isn't in the budget.

My original plan even skipped the $1,000 emergency fund, but I've since changed my mind on that which is pushing everything else back a month or two. I'm assuming the materials for the fence will cost me between $500-$1000. If I wanted to save that up in cash it would take another 2 months or so, which then pushes back my total payoff plan a total of about 4-5 months. The last of the three items should be paid by October of 2009 instead of September of 2009 because of the emergency fund, not including the fence.

Since I'm on this debt paying binge, would putting the fence materials on the credit card be that big of a deal? Either way I'm pushing back the final pay date of the second car the same amount of time, but if I use the credit card then I can build the fence now, instead of in 2-3 months. And it's not like I'm just putting the fence on credit and forgetting about it, the card will be paid off probably in October either way, it's just a matter of how much extra money I get to send to one of the cars that month (I get an extra paycheck in October).

Thoughts?

Just be careful, man. I try to avoid using credit for anything. Is there some other way you can keep the dog on your property for now? Either way, look at the numbers and follow through with your plan. Just watch out for any more unexpected financial obligations. :D
