Good morning all!

Made up my dozen-ingredient salad this morning. This turns out to be an easy challenge, presumably because of the quick benefit of a tasty lunch.

Which reminds me to say - jocelain, awesome work yesterday! I'll have to remember this when I'm having trouble with a challenge - arrange them around the benefits.

bigdaddysheikh - good luck with the healthy eating. Not sure I can give much advice about staying off junk food, because it's easy in a place like this with limited options. There's only so much chicken and batatas fritas you can eat before it gets boring. If there's enough fresh fruit and veg in the house it's a pleasure to eat it instead.

Good luck to everyone else in their challenges too!

Didn't get up at 6:30 and take my bike ride due to a late night. 4/10 4/10
Didn't shave due to a rushed morning 4/10
I did brush/floss/mouthwash 7/10

D'OH! I need to get motivated about this. Generally if I can get up at 6:30 the rest is easy, but if I don't get up as soon as the alarm goes off then all of my goals tend to go down the toilet.

Was able to declutter a bit but wasn't thorough as I'm still down with colds.
Sooo wasn't able to go to the gym either. TSK!!!!


I NEED to HEAL up ASAP as time is moving and won't wait on me.. LET's GO!

Finally! A success for me today - my first all month. in fact I sat down at my desk and got to work a few minutes early. Yay!

I'm caught up right now, but one of the ones I entered yesterday was past the 48-hour deadline. I have also not managed to get the counter clean the last couple days, since I made pickles, which always makes the kitchen look like it was hit by a tornado. Still managing the gratitude journal every day. I've quit doing the no surfing the web first hour at work and first hour back from lunch, but I really need to get back to that, or find some other way to limit the extracurricular stuff and get more work done. Flossing gets done most of the time, not absolutely every day. Missed one run this week, but that usually gets done, too.

Okay so its only 11.22 in the morning here but on any other day by now I would have binged on a tubof ice cream and had about five meals.
So far so good, woke up around nine, went out for a five minute walk, came home and ate a small but healthy breakfast and had three cups of water so far.actually wrote everything down too. cant wait to get through the rest of the day [^-^]

Well, I managed to botch the bedtime, as could be predicted by my 10:20 exit from my office! However, in bed by midnight. Difficulty sleeping and getting up early. Didn't get out of bed till 10 am. So this is proof to me that my nutritionist was right: our bodies have a rhythm. Once I'm awake past 10:30, or at least not in get to bed mode, I will stay awake likely until almost 1am. This was what was playing havoc with my evening shifts. However, I did only have an apple to munch when I came home. Read the paper on the back deck. No wonder I couldn't sleep!

Very late start today, but I'm not going to let it get to me. Focusing on BENEFITS, I will do some more organizing at home, declutter, and move some more stuff to my office. I have a project I need to start drawing on AutoCad. Must devote some time to that, not just setting up my office.

FG and Androo, you deserve mega kudos for checking in every day. Even when we're not doing "great" as we would like, we are holding ourselves accountable, and that is for me a first!! Sharing our small successes inspires each of us. This forum is giving me some structure that I badly need. On the other hand, I've been getting a little sidetracked by some of the other forums, and spending too much time which is not really moving me forward! Here is what struck me in your posts about time

Fred's Challenge:
I will do something everyday in the process of selecting the best on line masters program for me.

What I did today:

Used different grids to help me decide on the school I will attend. Grids I used: unweighted comparison, most importnat unweighted, most important weighted, most important - top ranked only, most important second ranked only, regret analysis,gut feeling analysis, what I like most and what I like least.

With the exception of one method, SHU came in on top each time.

im doing so well so far!! been keeping track of every single thing i put in mymouth and cutting my calorie intake by about seven hundred without feeling hungry or deprived at all. yesterday i had a couple of really strong urges- to the point where i put the bad food in the microwave but then i thought it over and resisted. havent eaten anything unhealthy either. drinking tons of water. woo im proud of myself today [^-^]
